In July, 9,500 ticket for the new program were reserved in the first 4 days. The next ticket allocation will open on August 1.

Linda Johnson, the President of the Brooklyn Public Library, confirmed in an interview with the NY Times that the program aims to provide easy access to “all of the wonderful cultural offerings that are available to New York City dwellers” to those who might otherwise be intimidated by museums. The Brooklyn Public Library is one of three libraries that have partnered with the cultural attractions for the program, the others being the New York Public Library and the Queens Library.

Various venues across all five boroughs in New York are included in the program. In addition to those listed above, other program’s participants include the Noguchi Museum, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, Wave Hill and The Drawing Center.

Unfortunately, if you aren’t a resident of New York City, it isn’t possible for you to obtain a library card at one of the participating libraries. For those of you who are lucky enough to have access to the program, you can log onto the Culture Pass website and use your library card to make reservations two months in advance.
